Host / Hostess

Lou Lou’s Tavern at The Refinery is looking for a Host / Hostess to join the team in 1640 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29405. In this role, you'll welcome guests and manage the flow of the dining room at the Charleston location. The posted pay is $15.00–$18.00/hr. It's a good fit if you're warm, organized, and steady under pressure.

Lou Lou's Tavern is now open at The Refinery, and we're looking for a dependable Host / Hostess to join our front of house team. Our chef-driven menu is built on thoughtful preparation, consistent execution, and quality ingredients in an approachable tavern setting.

Inspired by The Refinery’s historic train system, Lou Lou’s is a vibey, welcoming tavern - big booths, a lively bar, outdoor seating, and a natural connection to the venue’s live music culture. With upcoming concerts and large-scale activations, this will be a high-energy environment where hospitality and momentum go hand in hand.

Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service

• Greet guests and enhance their dining and live music experience

• Keep a clean and organized section or workspace

• Work as part of a team to ensure a smooth service

What We’re Looking For:

• 1 - 2 years of high volume restaurant experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Positive attitude and team-first mindset

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Consistent, high-level guest service

• Suggestive selling and menu knowledge
