Corporate Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Staff Accountant to join our growing automotive dealership group in Houston. This role will support the accounting team by assisting with financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations, month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with dealership accounting policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports
• Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with department managers and accounting team members to improve processes and efficiency
• Utilize accounting technology and AI-driven tools to support financial automation initiatives

Qualifications

• 4 - 6 years of experience in automotive dealership accounting or retail accounting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with CDK dealership management software
• Familiarity with AI tools and financial automation technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred, but not required
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
